About the Job and Company

Dow operates two synthesis plants in Leuna to produce Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) utilizing high-pressure processes. We are seeking a Maintenance and Logistics Technician for our silo storage area. In this role, you will primarily oversee the silo storage and its utilization, coordinating maintenance work with our production teams and logistics partners, serving as the link between maintenance and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize the silo area including coordination of silo occupancy, transportation, and maintenance.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and initiate maintenance and repair orders.
• Issue work permits, prepare and monitor activities, and approve completed work.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with shift teams and align production schedules with planned maintenance activities.
• Develop strategies for efficient maintenance execution, adherence to timelines, and improve silo occupancy efficiency.
• Create plans for major repairs and plant shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Master's or Technician degree with extensive experience in coordinating maintenance activities in heavy industries.
• Proficiency in SAP applications.
• Proficient in document management systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Reliability, proactive approach, and ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating shift teams and external contractors.
• Knowledge of work order release processes.
