Job Description

The University of Technology and Economics of Saarland (htw saar) is one of the most research-intensive applied universities in Germany. Currently, approximately 6000 students are enrolled at the university in the faculties of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Economics. htw saar has an international focus with a network of over 50 international university partnerships and active participation in international university networks, including the European University Association. Twelve binational study programs are offered with the Université de Lorraine as part of the German-French University Institute (DFHI). Since 2015, htw saar has been certified as a family-friendly university.

To strengthen the Faculty of Engineering, we are looking for a Dean's Assistant as a maternity leave replacement, in full-time and temporary until the end date.

Your tasks will include, among others:

• Assisting the Dean's office in self-administration
• Supporting the further development of internationalization
• Independent preparation and follow-up of committee meetings
• Public relations and conceptual development of faculty marketing

Requirements:

• Successfully completed university studies (Bachelor's or FH-Diploma) in Business Administration or equivalent, recognized in Germany
• Proficient in IT systems and very good knowledge of MS Office, DTP applications
• Ability to work independently, flexibility, and teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and organizational talent
• English language skills are desirable, and knowledge of French is advantageous

Remuneration for employment at htw saar is based on the regulations of the Collective Agreement for Public Service of the Federal States (TV-L). The remuneration group is E 10.
