Consultant Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity (m/f/d)

Our agency was founded jointly by the Federal Ministry of Defense and the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Home Affairs as the Agency for Innovation in Cybersecurity GmbH.
Our task is to identify future topics in the field of cybersecurity and the associated key technologies. We finance and support exciting and outstanding research projects. In this way, we contribute to ensuring Germany's technological leadership and digital sovereignty.
The currently very dynamic developments in artificial intelligence will fundamentally shape cyber security of tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. At the Cyber Agency, you will work closely with science on current topics such as ML security, generative AI and multimodality. In your team, you will create attractive research calls in the field of artificial intelligence, play a key role in the evaluation of research projects and accompany commissioned research projects from initiation to completion, thus ensuring the quality and usability of the results. Internally, you will work on knowledge management in this area. You will also take appropriate measures to ensure that Germany remains an attractive location for AI research.
Your tasks
- You plan and support research projects for the cyber agency in the field of artificial intelligence, for example in the areas of ML security, generative AI, multimodality or lifelong machine learning.
- You ensure adequate knowledge management in the field of artificial intelligence, open up new research fields and regularly educate yourself on current topics in artificial intelligence through your work.
- They actively engage in networking in the field of artificial intelligence and related topics.
You bring these qualifications with you
- Completed scientific or technical studies, ideally in the fields of computer science, mathematics, data science, machine learning, IT security or a comparable course of study (Bachelor/Master/Diploma)
- Interest in and understanding of current developments and issues in the field of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity as well as related topics
- Basic knowledge of current methods and applications of deep learning
- Organisational skills, independent and methodical working style, ability to work in a team, initiative
- Fluent communication in German and English, both written and spoken
These qualifications are desirable
- Experience in the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning (e.g. common programming languages in the machine learning and data analysis environment such as Python, Java, C++ or R; relevant frameworks such as TensorFlow)
- Experience in applied basic research, research and development or innovation management
