Job Title: Data Engineer at Growing Tech Company

Responsibilities:

  • Crafting Robust Data Ecosystems:
    • Design and implement data models, pipelines, and processes.
    • Enhance data systems for efficiency and performance to ensure consistent data for a global audience.
  • Collaborating Across Functions:
    • Bridge the communication between data needs and business goals.
    • Collaborate with diverse teams to grasp data requirements.
    • Create comprehensive data solutions for consistent data accessibility and integrity.
  • Building Scalable Data Solutions:
    • Establish scalable data storage solutions, data warehousing, and architecture.
    • Optimize data processing and transformation for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Ensuring Data Quality and Governance:
    • Enforce top-notch practices for data governance, security, and privacy.
    • Execute data quality evaluations and apply data cleansing and validation methods.
  • Driving Innovation in Data Engineering:
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.
    • Introduce novel data solutions and contribute to team growth and progress.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field (Master's degree is advantageous).

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of solid experience as a data engineer.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Snowflake).
  • Skilled in programming languages such as Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
  • Familiarity with ELT tools (e.g., FiveTran, Airflow, DBT) and data integration techniques.
  • Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Data Studio) and pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) is beneficial.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical capabilities to translate business requirements into data engineering solutions.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
