Global Manufacturing Cost Accounting/Analysis Leader (f/m/d

About the Role:
We are looking for a Global Manufacturing Cost Accounting/Analysis ( MCA) Leader to join our PSD finance team.

This individual will provide people leadership to MCA Associates and business partnership to Supply Chain Leadership, provide insights and information to inform business and financial related decisions, and partner closely with the PSD Division, Business Group, and Accounting Leaders.


This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at a US East, US West, or a facility in Europe, hybrid, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

T his Associate will need to be flexible to accommodate work hours with different regions, with occasional travel expected to the US Eastern Cluster.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Manufacturing Cost Accounting/Analysis (MCA) Associates
  • Provide analysis and decision support to Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams across all business groups and plant locations
  • Partner with divisional business analysts, including on capital and inventory planning and reporting
  • Identify and raise opportunities to reduce cost or improve efficiency within Cost of Goods Sold and build this skill and mindset among the MCA team
  • Support the annual standard cost setting and plant forecast processes, including the annual global cost update
  • Provide monthly cost of goods sold variance analysis to Supply Chain, Business Group, and Division Finance Leaders and stakeholders enabling decision making, informed forecasting, and risk mitigation planning
  • Drive automation, simplification, and process efficiency throughout the cost accounting processes
  • Manage complex issues such as plant transfers, OEM contracts, etc
  • Routinely connect with divisional Accounting Business Partner to align on current and potential accounting issues, demonstrate courage to challenge existing practices and proposals with the ability to influence in a positive manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in finance/accounting roles, including some experience in a leadership position
  • Cost Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and balance technical and business solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to diverse audiences and break complex information into understandable language to both Finance and nonFinance
  • Ability to build inclusive and diverse teams while demonstrating passion for coaching, developing and motivating individuals and team
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (% will increase with occasional travel to US Eastern Cluster)

Desired Qualifications:

  • CPA or equivalent
  • SAP experience
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing organization
