Hauptaufgaben

Serves as a military pay technician in the 266th Financial Management Support Center-Pay Center of Excellence (266th FMSC-PCE). Performs a variety of military pay, separation, and special actions processing which require application of a series of different and unrelated methods, practices, and techniques. Prepares and consolidates for review a variety of military payment documents (e.g., allotment, leave forms, pay option forms, TSP forms, etc.) and electronically processes through a variety of military pay automated systems employed at the 266th FMSC-PCE. Incumbent operates in accordance with Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation and other financial regulations. Employee serves as a subordinate to senior Finance Specialists under the Military Pay Chief, 266th FMSC-PCE.

Receives incoming military pay documents. Reviews forms, orders, and other key supporting documents for completeness and accuracy. Processes military pay documents electronically via the various military pay automated systems. Understands and is familiar with DoD Financial Management Regulations on Military Pay (Volume 7), Department of the Army, DFAS, and USAREUR regulations, policies and directives pertaining to military pay.

Serves as a Military Pay Technician who performs military pay for active and reserve Soldiers requiring the application of a series of practices and techniques. Processes military pay input, separations, and other military pay related documents and transactions for Soldiers, and ensures all documents are tracked in the various military pay automated systems.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifikationsanforderungen

C-4a:

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below.

Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.

E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below.

E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.

Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.

Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.

• Office automation skills are required.

• German driver's license class B desired.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY LEVEL:

English AND German Language Proficiency level C1 required.

This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hrs./week).

• Employee may perform the work at a location away from the regular worksite (e.g. at home) on a non-routine, ad-hoc basis. This includes work performed to complete a short-term special assignment or to accommodate special circumstances.
