At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product.

Work description:
In the internship, you will join the "Creative Industrial Design" team, which is responsible for shaping
the design and style of Airbus Helicopters' future products. You contribute to the design of the wide range of AH products (series and demonstrators).
You have the task to build a bridge between design and engineering, with the goal of developing the most aesthetic 3D digital form in combination with technical and manufacturing constraints.
You will bring your added value to the interior and exterior surface design, working closely with the designers (M/F/d) to interpret the design intent, but also proposing your own vision, while always following the Airbus Helicopters style philosophy.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- 3D sketch modeling based on style intent and 2D renderings. Integration of the Airbus Helicopters design guidelines
- Support design work by proposing creative shapes, challenging the statusquo, and demonstrating a real agility with the 3D quick modeling.
- Technical convergence of the 3D shapes: integration, comprehension, processing of the technical constraint. Technical meetings with designers.
- Creation and delivery of high quality surfaces (Aclass) ready for on time and quality serialization.
- This will be done by detailed shape integrating gaps and flushness and considering manufacturing constraints.
- Realtime renderings, VR and digital renders preparation
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Enrolled fulltime student (d/f/m) in a design school, specialized in CAS modeling
- Creativity and ability to sketch (3D, 2D) design intent
- Professional skill in Autodesk ALIAS Surface
- VR and Digital renderings skills (keyshot, Unity, etc.)
- CATIA V5 experience
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and customer/user oriented
- Team spirit

- Advanced in German and English
