Sr. System Architect Ev Charging Infrastructure

- Experience with designing system architectures for complex mechatronic systems and methodology, tools and workflows therefore (SysML, UML and related design tools).
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Electric Vehicle industry or Automotive industry in general and specifically proven track record in system architecture engineering.
- Experience with modelling and simulation to optimize systems under a variety of constraints. - Basic knowledge of equipment safety and performance certifications required for operation of electrical systems (e.g. switchgear, outdoor equipment, communication etc.). - Excellent written and oral communication skills.

System Architect on the GFP Electrification Product team will provide leadership in the end-to-end modelling and design of the EV charging systems product portfolio to enable large scale EV deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience.
You will be able to build the system architecture engineering methodology, tools and workflows from scratch, analyze our customer journeys and attribute them to EV charging product components, model and design the interaction of all system components and lead the end-to-end portfolio design to ensure upmost interoperability and guaranteed future of our assets.
This role is inherently cross-functional and requires working closely with engineering, building design and construction standards, power & energy and strategy teams, legal, finance and business development to bring products to launch, develop and grow technical opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features.
The role will report to the Senior Manager EV Charging System & Infrastructure (Head of EV Charging Products in EU).
Key job responsibilities- Define system engineering and architecture design methodology, workflows and tools.
- Understand the key aspects of EVSE technologies in the areas of design (scalability, robustness, performance), operations (efficiency, usability, reliability), costs (capital and operations), predictive and preventative maintenance, security and safety.
- Identify gaps, ensure compatibility and interoperability of all system components and propose areas of improvement.
- Lead partnership with internal building design and software teams to ensure EVSE compatibility and deployment configurations (hardware design and installation standards, software architecture compatibility) are established.
- Build models and simulations to optimize the EVSE product portfolio and lead the future product topology definition.
- Ability to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions.
- Be a leader within the group as well as within internal and external teams that support the delivery station.
