**Zielsetzung der Stelle**:
Die Position Senior Privacy Counsel Germany & Austria bietet strategische und operative Rechtsberatung für die Datenschutzfunktion, die Rechtsabteilung und die Geschäftseinheiten in Bezug auf Datenschutz, Cybersicherheit und damit verbundene Gesetze und Vorschriften sowie Datenschutzvorfälle.
**Ihre Aufgaben**:
- Beobachtung und Analyse der lokalen Gesetze und behördlichen Richtlinien in Deutschland und Österreich sowie Rechtsberatung für die Datenschutzfunktion bei der Integration der Europäischen Datenschutzvorschriften und damit zusammenhängender gesetzlicher Anforderungen in das Datenschutzprogramm von Novartis ("data privacy by design"), in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Head Data Privacy Legal Europe
- Rechtliche Beratung der Datenschutzfunktion und der allgemeinen Rechtsabteilung (und falls erforderlich in Abstimmung mit der Datenschutzfunktion des Unternehmens) in relevanten globalen/regionalen/lokalen Projekten.
- Schulung der Datenschutzfunktion, der Rechtsabteilung und anderer relevanter Stakeholder in Bezug auf lokale Gesetze und regulatorische Richtlinien.
- Rechtliche Beratung des Global Head Data Privacy Legal, von IT Security sowie weiterer relevante Stakeholder betreffend Cybersecurity Vorfällen, einschließlich der Qualifizierung und Handhabung von Datenschutzvorfällen.
- Interaktion mit Aufsichtsbehörden in Deutschland und Österreich, gestaltende Mitwirkung im Rahmen des Gesetzgebungsprozesses sowie bei der Gestaltung von Richtlinien, einschließlich innerhalb von Handelsverbänden, Information der Geschäftsleitung über Datenschutz und Cybersicherheit und damit verbundene rechtliche Entwicklungen in Deutschland und Österreich.
- Aufbau und Nutzung starke Kontakte zu Datenschutzexperten in anderen Unternehmen.

**Mindestanforderungen**
**Das bringen Sie mit**:
- Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium der Rechtswissenschaften mit abgeschlossenem Staatsexamen; ergänzend dazu weitere, einschlägige fachliche Qualifikation oder Spezialkenntnisse im Datenschutzrecht erforderlich
- Deutsch und Englisch verhandlungssicher
- Mindestens 7 Jahre Berufserfahrung, vorzugsweise innerhalb eines multinationalen Unternehmens, idealerweise im Gesundheitswesen.
- nachgewiesene, langjährige Erfahrung bei der erfolgreichen Bewältigung komplexer Rechtsfragen in einem multidisziplinären und internationalen Umfeld
- Tiefes Fachwissen im Datenschutz sowie rechtlicher Aspekte von Cybersecurity oder nachgewiesene Fähigkeit, sich rasch in neue Rechtsgebiete einzuarbeiten und diese zu beherrschen
- ausgeprägte Fähigkeit, Netzwerke innerhalb cross-funktionaler Teams zu bilden und auf regionaler und globaler Ebene zusammenzuarbeiten
- mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Führung komplexer, funktions
