Job Title: Maintenance Technician at Amazon

The Maintenance and Reliability Maintenance Engineering Team (RME Team) is crucial to our operation - ensuring that our technical systems and facilities are constantly operational. As a Maintenance Technician, you play a key role in maintaining and servicing our conveyor and building systems as well as production facilities. You contribute to upholding the highest safety standards in occupational safety and preventing machine downtime. Our technical team ensures high availability of technical facilities and enhances the quality of our equipment.



Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipment at our locations
  • Performing repairs and fault diagnoses
  • Utilizing the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
  • Compliance with all occupational safety guidelines and practices
  • Supporting the development and professional advancement of apprentices on-site
  • Working on projects for continuous improvement and implementation of best practices at various EU locations


A Day in the Life

As a Maintenance Technician, you are on-site at one of our logistics centers to swiftly respond to technical disruptions. You conduct a series of planned preventive maintenance activities on equipment to ensure their safe operation. Additionally, you promptly respond to disruptions and failures, investigating the causes, finding solutions quickly, and implementing them. You also propose long-term improvements.

Collaborating with senior colleagues, you handle daily maintenance tasks and communicate with service providers if external expertise is required. You work in rotating shifts to support our locations around the clock – ensuring that Amazon can continue delivering at the pace we are known for.

Basic Qualifications
  • Completed technical vocational training, recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) or Chamber of Crafts (HWK). Evidence of successfully completed engineering studies (mechanical engineering / electrical engineering or related) at a German university or recognized foreign university degrees (BA, B. Sc., MA, M. Sc., Dipl.-Ing.)
  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in the relevant trade
  • Experience in maintaining industrial production facilities
  • Advanced German language skills in both verbal and written communication


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with condition monitoring
  • Experience working with pressure and application machines
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of conveyor or automation systems
