As an Area Manager, you will oversee all operations at your location to ensure smooth processes and meet customer demand. - Analyze shifts per company guidelines and take actions to improve operational excellence
- Collaborate with senior colleagues to standardize shift procedures
A day in the life:
Working shifts at one of our locations, you will ensure maximum productivity, focusing on leading and promoting a safety culture while maintaining quality and performance standards. You will also supervise process improvements in your area and ensure their implementation. Your typical day may include routine team management, daily operational tasks, process enhancements, and extensive operational responsibilities, while serving as a role model and mentor for new managers.

Our Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Team is crucial for fulfilling Amazon's fast delivery promise. Collaborating with air and sea freight companies, road hauliers, and our state-of-the-art sorting centers, we ensure efficient delivery to Amazon customers. By analyzing data, our team makes decisions to enhance Amazon's efficiency and innovation. Safety of our employees is our top priority, utilizing their skills to deliver packages quickly, seamlessly, and sustainably.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree
- Leadership experience
- Relevant experience in communicating with various stakeholders, including colleagues and executives
- Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to support business decisions
- Advanced English and German language skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
- Experience in a different logistics environment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional context
