Purpose of the Position

To support the ambitious growth plans, the overall mission for the incumbent is to further develop the financial operating landscape and to create a business partnering CFO function that enables value creation.

The CFO will be part of the C-Team and will have a direct reporting line to the CEO.

We have an ambitious growth plan and are seeking an active contributor to increase the company value within the next few years.

Therefore, the incumbent will further develop and mature the finance structures, corporate and administrative processes, and adapt systems in a fast-moving scale-up company.

The active development of customized project financing solutions and the maintenance of a well-structured reporting system to investors as well as the motivating management of employees in the areas of finance and supply chain will be decisive for the further transformation of the company.


What you will do:

Strategy & Planning

  • Work in partnership with the CEO as business partner, the investment team of Infracapital, the ENERGYNEST Board and the Leadership Team to drive the growth and performance of the business.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the overall business through the creation and delivery of effective business plans. Play a key role as a member of the Leadership Team, challenging peers constructively.
  • Together with the CEO and Infracapital, lead future strategic initiatives. Coordinate and execute the planning process, incorporating financial planning for expansion plans. Assess and fully understand the financial requirements of these plans and communicate these clearly to stakeholders.
  • Understand the company business model for generating value and translate the operational metrics into key performance indicators.

Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Performance Management & Control

  • Provide a reporting for the Leadership Team, Infracapital and the ENERGYNEST Board to influence and shape commercial and strategic decisionmaking.
  • Challenge the business plans and ongoing financial performance, spotting trends early and interpreting information quickly to ensure that action is agreed and carried out effectively.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and ensure compliance with any relevant reporting standards. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of the auditor.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to minimize risk throughout the business and report risk issues to the ENERGYNEST Board and Infracapital.
  • Functional leadership in annual budget and business plan planning in a topdown approach with bottomup validation. Understand business processes and drive cost saving initiatives.
