Your Job:

We are searching for a highly motivated postdoc to join the small angle neutron scattering (SANS) team as a 2nd instrument scientist at the KWS-2 SANS diffractometer to support the user program and strengthen the user community in the field of biophysics and biochemistry. Your responsibilities in this role include:

  • Provide local support for users of the SANS instrument suite of JCNS at MLZ
  • Contribute to the improvement of the SANS instrument suite of JCNS
  • Conduct and share research through publications and presentations
  • Work on increasing the user base at MLZ

Your Profile:

  • Master's and subsequent PhD degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Strong background in experimental biochemistry and biophysical analytics
  • Track record in neutron/X-ray scattering research
  • Excellent command of English
  • Initiative, creativity, and good communication skills required
