Tasks:

Your daily responsibilities in the Editorial Research Intelligence department will be comprised of research, content database management, and editorial work:

Research & content management tasks:

  • Conducting desktop research using secondary data sources on the chemicals, plastics, and paper industries in a global, North American, and European context
  • Developing an understanding of valid data sources and potential data partners in the industry
  • Active generation of interesting and engaging research topics for database development in close communication with the team lead and fellow editors
  • Managing the SEOoptimized web content via the Statista Content Management System (CMS) in accordance with department goals and guidelines by monitoring usage and keeping the database up to date

Editorial tasks:

  • Creating and maintaining a host of editorial products, including individual statistics, dossiers (Statistaspecific reports), as well as topic, industry, and landing pages
  • Striving to develop an indepth knowledge of your industry topics

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of undergraduate studies
  • Academic background or experience in chemistry is desirable but not required
  • Exceptional written and spoken English skills—editorial experience in English is a bonus

  • Structured, organized, and independent working style with attention to quality, detail, and accuracy
  • Knowledge and interest in chemicals, plastics, and paper industry trends
  • Additional language skills are a plus: knowledge of Portuguese and/or Mandarin is desirable but not required
