At Next Kraftwerke GmbH, we operate one of Europe's largest Virtual Power Plants, connecting thousands of electricity generators, consumers, and storage units. Our team is actively contributing to the development of a green energy market of the future, whether at our headquarters in the heart of Cologne, our European branches, or even while working from home.

• Full-time or Part-time

As an Energy Trader at Next Kraftwerke GmbH, you will be managing one of the largest PV portfolios in Europe with a strong focus on trading activities across six European countries. Our commercial success speaks for itself, and as an interdisciplinary team, we value diverse trading approaches. We encourage discussions on different strategies and benefit from your courage to formulate and implement new ideas. Supported by an excellent IT infrastructure, we operate in a unique and flexible two-shift system seven days a week, considering PV times. In addition to an attractive salary with performance-based components that you can control, weekend work is also compensated.

• Conducting manual and automated trading of the PV portfolio and proprietary trading on the short-term markets Intraday and Day Ahead.
• Managing and interpreting a variety of market and weather data for decision-making.
• Challenging existing structures and approaches.
• Developing and backtesting trading strategies to maximize profits.
• Being an ambitious team player who enjoys winning together.

• You hold a university degree and have relevant work experience.
• Prior trading experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• You leverage your strong analytical skills to develop and implement your ideas.
• Attention to detail and commercial drive are part of your DNA.
• You naturally think in terms of expected values.
• You are fluent in both German and English, both written and spoken.
