Sr. Trade Manager, Emea, Global Trade And Product Compliance

Amazon Security is looking for an experienced Trade Manager to support our Europe and Africa business on a broad range of global import, export and product compliance matters.
You may interact with Amazon subsidiaries, product development, Data Center Engineering, Product Compliance Engineering, Amazon Services, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Regulatory Authorities and other internal businesses and external stakeholders to drive trade and product compliance.

The role sit within the Amazon Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) team and is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and other equipment necessary to support the Amazon services are imported/exported in a compliant manner across the multiple countries where Amazon operates and expects to expand.
PRINCIPAL DUTIESDevelop, document, and maintain operational processes and procedures to support trade compliance and overall cross-border activityBuild and own core trade compliance processes and analytical rhythms to align with subsidiary and key programs' objectivesMonitor EMEA regional import/export regulatory or procedural changes that could impact planning for import or related requirements, and clearly communicate those guidelines to stakeholders during the export/import planning processEstablish and manage positive business relations with key stakeholders and business teamsManage tasks and communication in relation to all regional regulations for Amazon trade and product compliance activities, including requirements gathering, executing import/export transactions, updating status reports, and coordinating team deliverablesAssist with technology, hardware, and software trade classification and related activities, including: Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), import license reviews, local partner government agency requirementsInterface with internal and external functional partners to identify and rectify any information/process gapsBuild communications and training plans to achieve awareness in all internal and external partners so that they are aligned to trade and product compliance processesGenerate and contribute to performance requirements, timelines, and metrics for all related activitiesProactively identify and drive process improvement initiativesThe qualified candidate must have 10 or more years of trade compliance experience advising on compliance issues or similar regulatory issues, covering Europe and Africa and ideally multiple additional countries in region.
