Now, we are looking for an Engineering Manager with a passion for leadership and a desire to shape the future of our insurtech products.

Your role in a team:
- Be accountable for increasing the output of your team and neighboring teams you influence. You care about your team and the teams around you.
- Engineering management is both engineering and management, you will drive technical excellence and support the careers of the people you manage.
- Ensure close collaboration between product and tech, this starts with you and the product managers in your team.
- Focus yourself and your team on outcomes rather than activity. Avoid busy work by aggressively prioritizing what your team is working on.
- Furthermore, you establish the right engineering practices with the team (e.g. TDD, CI/CD, Agile Methodologies, etc.), to improve quality and time-to-market and improve our lean and agile engineering practices, processes and productivity by advocating our values and leadership principles
What you need to be successful:
- Technical Background in Software Engineering (Backend and/or Full-Stack, Ruby on Rails nice to have)
- First experience in leading teams in an engineering space, 1 year +
- A leadership style that creates a trustful work environment, gives orientation, and empowers people
- A deep understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Knowledge of mentorship to engineers on best practices
- Manage resource allocation, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
- The skills to define project scopes, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders
- Fluent spoken and written English
