We are looking for aPower BI Platform Engineer (m/f/d)(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at one of our locations in Berlin, Verl or Baden-Baden – hybrid working conditions available Your Responsibilities:As a Power BI Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the stable operation and continuous improvement of our enterprise-wide Power BI platform. You ensure that the platform is ready for analysts to build impactful reports and apps, and that business users experience a secure, high-performance, and governed environment.You will work at the intersection of Data Engineering, Analytics, Infrastructure, and Business Teams to provide Power BI as a trusted self-service and reporting platform across the company. Your tasks in detail:Operate, manage, and optimize the Power BI platformProvide 2nd-level support for Power BI and related components (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform)Implement platform governance: role/access management, deployment processes, usage monitoringAct as the technical liaison between infrastructure, business stakeholders, and external service providersSupport BI analysts in publishing reports, certified datasets, and appsOperate and monitor data pipelines (e.g., with Apache Airflow, dbt, Fabric, Databricks)Maintain reusable artifacts such as templates, themes, certified datasetsContribute to the rollout of new capabilities like Microsoft Fabric, DirectLake, Power BI Copilot, etc.Advise internal stakeholders on best practices for Power BI usage and platform adoption Your Profile:Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field5+ years of relevant engineering experience, with a strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, and ideally Microsoft FabricProven experience with administration and operations of BI platforms (user/role management, governance)Understanding of data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and basic Data Engineering principlesHands-on experience with tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Databricks, Grafana is a plusScripting knowledge (Python, Shell) desirableConfident using tools like Confluence, Jira, MIRO, MS OfficeStrong communication skills in English (required), German is a plusService-oriented mindset What We Offer:A key role in running and evolving a modern Power BI platform within a leading fintech companyA collaborative, cross-functional environment with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business ExpertsFlexible work arrangements with hybrid options and modern workspacesOpportunities for professional growth and learning in Data & AnalyticsA culture of innovation, trust, and short decision paths
