We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Manager Alternatives Operations - Real Estate - SPV Operations to join our BNY Alternative Operations Germany team. This role is located in Frankfurt- hybrid (4 days from the office, 1 day from home).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Directing a team that is responsible for providing SPV administration services to a major real estate client.
- Designing and improving processes for ensuring that timely monthly reporting, annual audits and valuations of the entities are provided to the client on time and in high quality.
- Managing relationships with client representatives and other stakeholders.
- Communicating with clients on complex issues.
- Evaluating German investment law and regulations to determine impact of new regulations on BNY Operations’ practices.
- Training of junior team members, guiding them in solving complex issues. Covering for the Head of SPV Operations during absences and on other occasions.
- Seeking opportunities for improving processes and service delivery.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 5 years+ experience in real estate-related SPV operations or fund accounting. Applicants with an external audit background are also very welcome.
- Team management experience would be an advantage.
- Track record of operational excellence.
- Extensive knowledge of real estate accounting and legal entity requirements.
- Strong communication skills, able to communicate professionally and lead discussions with important clients.
- Highly proactive team player, who is willing to work across silos and to consider downstream impacts of their tasks.
- Good command of German language, sufficient to articulate complex topics.
- Ability to drive change and complex operational process enhancements.
- Project management experience an advantage.
- Experience with Yardi accounting platforms an advantage.
