Our client is an innovative cryptocurrency exchange platform. Operating in a fast-growing industry, the company bridges traditional finance and cutting-edge technology. To strengthen its compliance department, our client is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer.

Your Role as a Senior Compliance Officer

As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in managing and overseeing compliance risks related to cryptocurrency. Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring compliance with EU AML regulations, GDPR, NIKA, and other applicable legal requirements.
Developing and implementing the compliance program, including internal policies and regulatory controls.
Executing and managing a Compliance Monitoring Plan to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Conducting risk assessments on transactions, clients, and partners to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Preparing and submitting regulatory reports to relevant supervisory authorities.
Collaborating with internal teams (legal, finance, operations) to integrate compliance into strategic decision-making.
Training and raising awareness among employees regarding compliance obligations and best risk management practices.
Monitoring regulatory developments to anticipate legislative changes and adapt internal processes accordingly.

Your Profile as a Senior Compliance Officer

As a Senior Compliance Officer, your qualifications and experience should include:

5 to 7 years of experience (4 to 6 years also considered) in compliance, preferably within an electronic money institution (EMI) or payment services provider (PA).
Strong knowledge of EU AML regulations, as well as GDPR, NIKA, and compliance requirements related to crypto assets is a plus.
Experience in risk management, regulatory surveillance, and compliance reporting.
Proven expertise in designing and executing a Compliance Monitoring Plan is a major advantage.
Ability to work within a small, dynamic team, with strong responsibility and initiative.
Fluency in English is mandatory, French is a strong asset, and additional languages are a plus.
