Manpower is urgently recruiting for one of its clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg:



Back Office Analyst



Job Description: University degree preferably in a business related field (Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, IT, mathematics, engineering);

Additional relevant postgraduate studies or professional qualification in finance is considered as an advantage.

The person should preferably have experience in a Banking or Financial or Project Manager field and he/she should be able to work independently and keen to learn.

At least 3 years of experience in Project Management or at least 3 years of experience as officer in a Back or Middle Office in a financial institution.



The tasks/activities will include:

• Oversee the development and performance of IT tools, report issues, and participate in testing IT upgrades to ensure the integrity of FK data and processes;

• Analyse and resolve possible issues arising from settlement failures to minimize settlement claims and overdraft costs;

• Continuously improve and fine-tune operations and procedures as required;

• Guide and support with the resolution of issues in coordination and collaboration with all stakeholders;

• Conduct appropriate checks on all treasury transactions before sending out confirmation and settlement messages;

• Execute Back-Office processes related to the control and validation of data in the borrowing and derivatives database;

• Oversee and monitor settlement of securities;

• Manage SWIFT payment messages of several types in both MT and MX formats.



The interim must demonstrate knowledge in:

• Back-office operations, preferably in payment function and/or securities settlement and/or derivatives areas;

• Broad knowledge of the financial sector in general and good Treasury product and settlement knowledge;

• Good knowledge of frequently used SWIFT message types is an asset;

• Experience with the Back Office applications (like Finance Kit, Accurate, SWIFT Alliance) is an asset.



The interim must demonstrate competence in:

• Good communication and drafting skills;

• Flexibility in adapting to different tasks and situation;

• Ability to work under pressure;

• Interpersonal, team-working and communication skills.
