Associate Solutions Architect Intern
The Solutions Architects (SA) organization is a diverse team that focuses on helping customers build infrastructures and applications at scale using AWS solutions. Our solutions architects are passionate technologists with technical breadth and depth coupled with strong interpersonal skills.

As an SA intern, you will receive AWS technical training, immerse yourself in cloud computing, develop business acumen, presentation delivery, and learn more about Amazon culture. You will work in a one on one project environment with the possibility of group projects, complete the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification, and attend professional development events.

Amazon internships are full-time (38 hours/week) and normally run for 10-12 consecutive weeks with timelines dependent on country locations.

About the team
Specialist Solutions Architect Team

AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SAs) are diverse technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, Specialist SAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. Specialist SAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. Specialist SAs play a critical role in capturing customer feedback, advocating for roadmap enhancements, and anticipating customer requirements as they work backwards from their needs. As domain experts, Specialist SAs also participate in field engagement and enablement, producing self-service content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers, partners, and the AWS Technical Field.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Currently in your penultimate or final year of a degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics / Technology / Related science/technical field. Ideally completing this degree post-internship.
· Interest and aptitude to learn about and deliver cloud-based solutions to customers.
· Knowledge of one of the programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++ OR the interest and technical ability to learn a programming language.
· Fluent English and German

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
· Knowledge of Networking fundamentals including Security, Storage or Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL), Operating Systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
· Experience with one or more of the following domains: systems administration (Linux/Window), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load Balancing), or programming (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP).
· Fluency in any European language is a plus.
