MEININGER Hotels is looking for a Head of Openings and Refurbishments responsible for consistent, superior project management to ensure hotel-opening readiness (technical, operational, commercial) within the approved budget and timeline. They must balance operational and commercial drivers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand and playback the commercial drivers and objectives for each projectDevelop detailed pre-opening and refurbishment project plansIdentify deliverables, and milestones on the project and manage interdependencies across projectsDefine project goals, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholdersConduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to ensure project successManage project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure effective collaboration and high-quality deliverablesMonitor project activities, identify potential issues or roadblocks, and proactively address them to keep projects on trackManage stakeholder expectations by providing timely and accurate information, managing conflicts, and addressing concernsIdentify and monitor resource utilization and adjust allocations as needed to optimize project performance and meet project deadlinesConduct regular project evaluations to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessaryEnsure suitable documentation is maintained for audit and future referenceAt the end of the project, ensure a smooth transition to the âbusiness as usualâ functions YOUR PROFILE Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesExcellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teamsExperience of matrix management and working with resources not under your direct controlExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on driving results and delivering high-quality outcomesDemonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh commercial awareness, understanding the competing demands of different business functionsKnowledge of finance, forecasting and budgetingExperience of new hotel openings and hotel refurbishments (preferred)Knowledge of hotel IT systems and infrastructure (preferred)Fluent in English.
