Developing and constructing a wind farm project is a complex process, managed by a multidisciplinary team of people and involving multiple components. Coordinating these resources effectively is crucial to ensuring that each project is constructed within agreed budget, timeline, quality and safety parameters. The role of the Project Planner is to keep track of and plan the use of these resources on behalf of the project team. Within Project Delivery we focus on the people and put a lot of effort into creating a psychologically safe working environment. We are therefore looking for honest and open individuals with a positive mindset who are able to work in a team and build strong relationships to fit into our culture. We hope to find someone who is proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and learning.

Your role

As a Project Planner you would support the Project Manager and the project team in decision making by creating time schedules (âprogrammesâ) that visualise the project deliverables and with the help of which the project progress is monitored. The programme will also be used as a tool for producing a forecast for the project activities to completion and for analysing delays. The Project Planner supports projects in its pre-construction phase analysing different scenarios and continues until all construction is finalised.

Your tasks and responsibilities as a Project Planner

  • You would be responsible for initially setting up the project programme (time schedule) using planning software (primarily Primavera) and then updating the project programme based on the progress
  • Based on the programme, you would also be responsible for reporting the progress and the forecasts to the project team and to the management team
  • Another part of the role is to provide input into risk and opportunity discussions and scenario analysis (âwhat ifâ analysis). Our existing Project Planners have created a large number of templates, processes and handbooks to ensure that we approach planning in a consistent way and to learn lessons from previous projects. With this being a medium role, we would expect the successful candidate to continue this work and continuously improve how we do planning
  • The role is primarily office based, however, some travel is anticipated and encouraged (always at the employeeâs discretion) to the construction sites and/or other offices to build relationships or help support the projects (all assuming it is safe to do so)
  • The role of Project Planner sits in Project Support within Project Delivery, which is the department responsible for the construction of onshore wind farms. Project Support currently consists of 4 Project Planners in addition to Commercial Managers, Project Coordinators and Document Managers. We are located across Sweden, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom and work internationally across those 5 countries.

Work from the following office locations: Solna (Sweden), Hamburg or Berlin (Germany). 


Qualifications

Your profile as a Project Planner

  • You have experience in a similar position
  • You have around 3-5 yearsâ experience as a Project Planner
  • You are competent in a relevant planning software (e.g. MS project, Primavera, ASTA power) (planning knowledge)
  • You are familiar with best practices regarding standard project planning concepts
  • You are in good command of the English language (both verbally and written)
  • You are able to work and communicate effectively with others in order to achieve a shared goal (collaboration and team work)
  • You are able to work in a structured and organised way in order to determine goals and priorities (planning and organising)
  • You are curious with an analytical mindset, eager to learn and to expand your knowledge
