Region NCE > SBU NCE Construction & Operations > Operation Concept & Site Engineering

Construction Onshore is responsible for installing, commissioning and finally the handover of wind farms to our customers. Working closely together with the clients and other stakeholders is a key parameter to ensure this happens safely, cost-efficiently and with a high-quality standard.
The Operation Concept & Site Engineering team within the Bid Management department is responsible for the road and hardstand design standards, maintaining the specification, ensuring risk mitigated installation concepts for the region Northern & Central Europe (including East Europe). The team of Site and Civil Engineers supports the Sales and Bid Management team and is working in close contact to our clients.

Responsibilities

As an Expert Operation Concept & Site Engineering, you will have an important part in supporting our team and clients to shape site layouts that meet safety standards, environmental regulations, and economic feasibility. Your responsibilities will span from assessing site documentation to collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring data quality. Additionally, you'll serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for transport-related challenges within the windfarm. Your key responsibilities will include:

Site Assessment Management:

 

  • Handle incoming site assessment requests and thoroughly check provided documents
  • Ensure fulfillment of preconditions for assessments
  • Collaborate with the team to streamline the process
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data related to site assessments
  • Create comprehensive reports for internal and external use


    Remote Site Assessment:

     

     

    • Evaluate available documentation remotely.
    • Assess site complexity based on pre-defined conditions and identify next steps


      Transport Subject Matter Expert (SME):

       

       

      • Address transport-related challenges within the windfarm that require special attention
      • Act as the interface towards our transport department and our subcontractors, collaborate with the stakeholders to align concepts
      • Simulate internal road infrastructure and logistic area


        Qualifications

         

         

        • Technical or Engineering background
        • Significant expertise in heavy component handling with actual crane and especially transport technology and road design
        • Ability to work with road studies and incorporate findings into project planning
        • Experience with managing of construction sites in the onshore wind-energy industry
        • Demonstrated skills in using MS-Office, AutoCAD, AutoTURN or comparable simulation software
        • Experience with Salesforce is beneficial
        • Solid communication abilities in both English and German.
        • Driver license class B

            Primary work location: the ideal candidate should be located near one of our main offices In Germany: Berlin, Hamburg, Husum, Rheine
            This position requires up to 70 days travel per year.
