Meet the team behind this journey


IT Security is very important to DeepL. To ensure that our data remains secure, you will join our Security team, working closely with our engineering teams to secure our applications, systems, devices, and environments. Depending on the need, you will introduce new components and develop the existing infrastructure, as part of our experienced, supportive, and collaborative IT Security team.


Your responsibilities


Depending on your focus area, you will:

Have an open eye for security improvementsPerform security reviews and advise other teams with security-related questionsRecognize threats and triage upcoming vulnerabilitiesHelp building solutions to improve the security of our infrastructure, network, and servicesAutomate security processes in the development life-cycleCreate visibility by onboarding new events into our SIEM

Qualities we look for


Someone who keeps up to date with the technical information security space. A technical understanding of vulnerabilities, threats, and developments in information security.Solid scripting, networking, and Linux skills.Experience with SIEM/SOC/Incident Response topics is a plus.Experience with Application/Software Security is a plusExperience in managing a fleet of client devices concerning Security is a plusA collaborative and engaging team player who is not shy in introducing their own ideasInterest in learning new technologiesFluent communication in English. Any German would be a bonus
