  • You use and develop state-of-the-art approaches in the areas of machine learning, artificial intelligence and deep learning
  • You will work with us on exciting projects in agile project teams, such as the development of innovative data products for our streaming platform RTL+
  • You will learn how to carry out complex analyzes with structured and unstructured data and identify innovative application possibilities with us
  • You present your results to the team and within the company
  • You will gain knowledge about the conception and management of data-driven products and solutions
  • You will get an insight into data engineering, where you can expect the construction, operation and optimization of RTL Deutschland's cloud-based big data and real-time environment
  • You will get to know RTL Data holistically and find out more about our role in the media world and the interaction between our development and research teams. This gives you a comprehensive insight into how we receive our data and then use it in specific, content-related questions when developing and further developing our formats, brands and products
  • At the end of the program, you will be well prepared for a career in the data-driven media world
Your profile
  • You have recently completed a degree with an analytical focus (e.g. computer science, statistics, mathematics, social or economic sciences, etc.) or an apprenticeship or are about to complete it
  • During your studies you were already able to gain initial practical experience in the areas of big data, data science or business intelligence and are interested in more
  • Ideally, you have methodological knowledge in the areas of data analysis, machine learning, AI, data visualizations as well as initial programming experience (e.g. R, Python).
  • You are characterized by an affinity for dealing with large amounts of data and technical understanding
  • You impress with conceptual and analytical skills as well as a solution-oriented way of working
  • You enjoy working in a team and enjoy getting involved
  • You want to tackle new topics, think “outside the box” and are interested in dealing with current developments in areas such as generative artificial intelligence
  • Fluent German and English skills round off your profile
Your team

In your traineeship you will explore the data area, which includes over 300 people and combines the areas of data engineering, data science, research and analytics. People of different nationalities work in our teams, which is why, with over 15 different languages ​​spoken in the data area, English is the most commonly spoken language, along with German. We all have one thing in common: our passion for data and data-based decisions, with which we support the entire company every day. We develop products and tools, provide data and insights - and are always looking for state-of-the-art solutions, which is why we use the latest tech stack and the most modern approaches.

Our trainees are selected as part of a digital assessment center, which will take place in May. The trainee program starts on October 1st, 2024. In our digital meet-up on April 17th.
