Summary

About the Position: You will work with the Special Education Assessor providing administrative support at Stuttgart High School.

All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located. Local commuting area is defined as the geographic area surrounding a work site that encompasses the localities where people live and reasonably can be expected to travel back and forth daily to work based on the generally held expectations of the local community. (5 CFR 575.203)

Duties

• Communicate with parents, staff or others regarding scheduling meetings with Assessor via email and phone.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel to notify them of suspense dates and when each phase of the assessment process is completed.
• Use judgment to answer recurring questions, resolve problems, and control and restrict personal information to those with a need to know.
• Organize and maintain assessor files beginning with assessment planning through eligibility completion.
• Develop and maintain data system for tracking status of the assessment process.
• Enter assessment data into school level data management system.
• Provide information to students, parents, staff or others while adhering to school's policies and procedures.
• Provide clerical support under the direction of the assessor(s).
