As a System Engineer / IT Consultant - Network and Firewall , you will analyze the requirements for the network infrastructure, create architecture concepts and independently take care of their technical implementation at locations worldwide as part of projects. The provision of an error-free and future-oriented network infrastructure is the key to the smooth running of all processes in administration, logistics and production.

• take over the administration, setup and further development of the LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructure of well-known manufacturers, such as Aruba, Cisco, Sophos or Fortinet.
• develop network concepts and support your colleagues in the area of IT security
• present network problems and their causes in a management-oriented manner and develop solution approaches and decision templates.
• take care of the independent and responsible implementation of network projects.
• analyze and rectify faults in collaboration with other IT departments
• create and update network documentation.

• have successfully completed an IT apprenticeship or IT degree.
• have experience in structuring and managing networks.
• Aruba Networking and Cisco knowledge (planning, installation, administration, troubleshooting/ MSTP, HSRP, VRRP/ PortSecurity, 802.1x, WPA Enterprise/ Ipv4, Ipv6) as well as firewalling knowledge (Fortinet, Sophos).
• ideally have certifications in the areas of Cisco/ HP and Firewall.
• are able to work in a team, willing to travel (approx. 10%) and have a good command of English.
