As the Category Manager you will be responsible for developing, deploying and managing the technical services procurement strategies for maintenance and Plant Capex in various European Countries.  Maintenance is classified as critical as execution is needed to ensure operation of our production units.  You're leading multi-year/multi-million dollar expenditures negotiated and contracted utilizing multiple country or national agreements. Furthermore you utilize comprehensive and systemic market analysis for the services procured to drive lowest total cost of ownership and maximum value with minimized risk to the company. Spend of such contracts is up to $11MM/yr.

You manage effective internal business partner and supplier relationships up to C- level. (SRM And ASP) and drive further digitalization together with business partner and key suppliers to reach industry shaping level of field productivity.  

Roles & responsibilities:

• Commodity includes all maintenance and plant capex services including planning, HSE and multiple discipline execution.
• Develops and executes strategic sourcing following the agreed processes and sourcing strategy methodology to drive continuous improvement. Utilizes market analysis and contracting strategies. 
• Ensures the deployment of strategic purchasing strategies driven by stakeholder goals and requirements, business economics and digital opportunities.
• Implements measurement systems that clearly indicate the performance level of the sourcing strategy and supplier effectiveness.  Maintains focus on added value, field performance, HSEQ compliance, value engineering and lowest total “life cycle” cost. Moves key suppliers from advanced SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) to next level of ASP (Advanced Supplier Potential)
• Develops and implements supplier continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintains relationships with key suppliers and leads discussion with key suppliers on sustainable improvement potential based on EcoVadis score and or TFS audit outcome. Agrees and follows up action taken by suppliers.
• Promotes excellent working relationships with internal business partners and other supporting organizations.
• Leads cross-functional teams in assessing risks and developing concepts associated with supply chain and technical compliance.
• Recognized as a leader and an expert in segments, commodities and/or categories assigned; providing knowledge and expertise within this area.

• Master Degree Industrial Engineering or comparable 
• Business Experience > 6 years, preferred experience in sourcing of technical services 
• Experience with leading cross functional teams
• Fluency in both German and English are mandatory, French or Dutch are considered an advantage
