What you'll do

• You work as a Senior BTP Developer (f/m/d) in the Private Cloud program ATLAS (Automate the Total Customer Lifecycle Across SAP)
• In this role you will be supporting the BTP journey to enable Customer Self-Service scenarios along the E2E ATLAS process chain.
• You collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable, clean, and secure solutions using BTP tools and practices.
• While implementing best practices and clean code, you’ll stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to drive problem solving and to adapt innovation.
• You support the technical implementation of the ATLAS solutions including web applications like self-service with integration from SAP CAP and related business requirements against the project timeline, working in agile mode (SAFe)
• Post go-live technical support of the delivered software

What you bring 

• Strong cloud native development experience - BTP, strong proficiency in SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP) using NodeJS/Typescript, Java experience is of advantage
• Working collaboratively with the project team and other workstreams towards a common solution, consulting with architects and product owners and post go-live technical support of the delivered software.
• Proficiency in front-end frameworks is a plus (SAPUI5, Three.js, React.js) and front-end programming languages (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
• 10+ years experience with design and development of distributed cloud solutions
• B.SC./M.SC. in Computer Science or similar
• Fluent English language skills oral and written, German is a strong advantage

BTP Administration:

• Experienced with managing, analyzing and deploying complex enterprise applications and services running on distributed Cloud environments
• Familiarly with system logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, SAP Cloud Logging Service
• Experienced in administering multicloud environment setup (CF, ABAP cloud, Kyma) to enable efficient application deployment, scalability, and management

CAP development:

• Technical implementation of BTP CAP service with integration with UI (SAPUI5, React.js, Three.js) and Commerce Cloud (item catalogue, quote, pricing, shopping cart) and related business requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Strong quality mindset driving rigorous quality standards and ensuring the excellence of our deliverables.
• Experience with service request/service order handling is a plus. Experience in Asset Management, Cloud Fulfilment/SaaS Delivery processes is also a plus

DevOps:

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like GitHub Actions, Honeycomb, Octobus.
• Developing pipelines to drive and enhance our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.

Within the IES, our Private Cloud team in the Cloud Runway Engineering organization is tackling leading edge challenges while being customer and delivery centric, highly motivated and collaborative, dedicated to success and with a mentality to get things done.

Our objective is to extend skills and competencies to:

• accelerate SAP’s cloud offerings as strategic cornerstone for customers as part of transformation journey towards Cloud, in a more and more commoditized business environment.
• scale adoption and sale of latest (cloud) software as steppingstone from onPrem to Cloud.

Many colleagues are working and living from SAP Walldorf, Germany. However, we also have colleagues in Poland, Latvia, UK and the US.
