About the Position:
This position is located in Hohenfels, Germany. The Program Assistant (Student Transportation) provides technical support for bus passenger transportation services to students at military community schools.

All candidates must reside within the local commuting area where the position is located.

Federal employees in Hohenfels, Germany are currently entitled to receive a 25% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.



Duties
  • Compile student statistical data and participates in forecasting transportation requirements.
  • Record data on forms to evaluate the quality of transportation services provided.
  • Conduct day-to-day operations for designated schools to provide timely and efficient transportation service.
  • Arrange nonrecurring transportation services supporting curricular field trips, co-curricular sports, and academic enrichment activities.
  • Perform periodic route safety and efficiency reviews, optimizes routes, and recommends commuting area changes.
  • Participate with school representatives in monitoring and evaluating student transportation requirements and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the most cost effective and efficient new routes and recommends revisions to existing routes.
  • Prepares descriptive route maps and narrative summaries for distribution.
  • Utilizes transportation software programs to enter and retrieve transportation data.
