As a (Senior) iOS Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic start-up-like team while being able to leverage the corporate muscle of our mothership company GLS. As an early member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to shape our technology stack and processes while making significant contributions to our projects. As a key and early hire, all doors are open for your personal and professional development - you are in the driver's seat Your responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications, balancing performance, reliability and security with meeting user and business objectives
  • Contribute to the development of technical specifications, architecture, and design documentation
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, android and backend engineers to define product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria in order to deliver compelling user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry best practices and coding standards and optimize performance through profiling, debugging and testing
  • Drive innovation by staying up-to-date with iOS development trends and by exploring new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance our iOS applications
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback – share your expertise to improve code quality and maintainability while helping to foster a culture of learning and growth
What you need to be successful Background:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in native iOS application development using Swift
  • Proven track record of working with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services
  • Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment
  • Experience working in a start-up-like environment or a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting

  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, architectural patterns, and iOS application design principles
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills as well as an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Passion for user experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
