Director IT & Digitalisation, Region DACH & Technology (m/f/d) (m/f/d)

location: Mannheim 


The Bilfinger IT & Digitalization Organization is the IT department for all Bilfinger SE business units worldwide. IT advises and supports its customers in all IT and digitalization matters and develops and operates the IT landscape of the Group and the regions. With extensive and modern IT applications and services, Bilfinger IT & Digitalization sees itself as a business enabler for the operational business.

 

Tasks

  • Execute and implement Group IT strategy initiatives in the region
  • Optimize local IT operations for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Foster collaboration with regional stakeholders and Bilfinger IT
  • Manage the regional IT budget and resource allocation
  • Address and resolve IT challenges specific to the region, especially internal digital transformation
  • Provide regular updates and reports on regional IT performance and initiatives
  • Manage Information Security requirements and processes in coordination with group information security team
  • Ensure compliance with local / regional legislation and regulations

 

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in IT operations in large industrial companies, ideally including leadership roles
  • Proficiency in optimizing local IT operations for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with regional stakeholders and Bilfinger IT
  • Experience in managing (regional) IT budgets and resources effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address region-specific IT challenges
  •  Effective communication skills to convey IT strategies, updates, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Financial targets
  • IT Operational Targets (SLAs) and IT Security Metrics
  • Soft KPIs (e.g. customer satisfaction improvements)
  • Ability to lead and adapt to organizational change, ensuring seamless IT operations during transitions
  • Leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate the IT team in the region
  • Experience in implementing digital transformation initiatives

 

The position holder is obligated to adhere to all Company bylaws, policies, procedures, guidelines, control measures, signage and permit conditions, employee handbook and any other governance documentation.  
In particular, the position holder has to be familiar with and follow the Company's Policy for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ), to know what to do in an emergency and to take an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems to maintain our system certification.
