Seasonal Worker Cell Culture Lab

We are looking for interested and motivated people between May and end of October, in full time (8 hours per day) to support our cell culture and/or media production activities at our headquarters in Einbeck through the high workload period as part of a temporary seasonal contract. The position will be filled with in KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA.

Your tasks:

  • Carry out all sterile laboratory work steps in connection with the production of double haploid lines by using different tissue culture procedures
  • Support the preparation of the plant material for flowcytometry analysis to evaluate the ploidy level
  • Create sterile media for the KWS cell culture activities with advanced laboratory equipment
  • Documentation of all work steps by using LIMS applications

 

Your profile:

  • Ongoing or finished education in the field of natural sciences/horticulture/agriculture/biotechnology
  • is an advantage
  • Practical experience in laboratory work, in in-vitro culture, and working in sterile environment is desirable
  • High degree of commitment, willingness to learn and personal initiative
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic level (A1-2) of German in combination with good level of English or good German knowledge is essential
