Development Engineer for Photovoltaic Systems for Commercial Vehicles (f/m/d) Permanent employee, Full-time · München Your Tasks

At Sono Motors, we are a motivated small team, dedicated to bringing solar products to the market. As part of our Solar Integration Team that develops products for transportation vehicle applications, you will be responsible for the development of the overall system, such as system definition, system integration, and E/E. In our team your role includes:

  • System development of photovoltaic integrations in commercial vehicle applications focused on buses and trucks
  • Responsible for feasibility studies and concept development
  • Responsible for system testing and validation
  • Requirement engineering and creation of specifications
  • Project management between different internal teams and external suppliers
  • Developing wiring diagrams and system topologies
  • D-FMEA for different projects
Our Requirements
  • Bachelor's, Master’s or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or similar discipline
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience as a development engineer for systems, preferably in the automotive or commercial vehicle environment
  • Broad technical expertise of system engineering or electrical engineering
  • Basic knowledge in photovoltaic systems is advantageous
  • You have a hands-on mentality and are open to work also on test benches or vehicles
  • Living sustainable is important to you - in your private and professional life
  • Fluent English is a must - fluent German a plus

Our technology is already being used by more than 25 B2B customers, who are testing our Solar Bus Kit and other solar integration solutions in a variety of vehicle architectures, including buses, refrigerated vehicles, cars and eTrucks/eVans. Deine Aufgaben Bei Sono Motors sind wir ein motiviertes kleines Team, das sich der erfolgreichen Markteinführung von Solarprodukten verschrieben hat. Als Teil unseres Solar-Integrationsteams, welches Produkte für Fahrzeuganwendungen entwickelt, bist du für die Entwicklung des Gesamtsystems verantwortlich, z. B. für die Systemdefinition, Systemintegration und E/E Integration. Zu deinen Aufgaben in unserem Team gehören:

  • Systementwicklung von Photovoltaikintegrationen für Nutzfahrzeuge mit Schwerpunkt auf Bussen und Lkws
  • Verantwortlich für Machbarkeitsstudien und Konzeptentwicklungen
  • Verantwortlich für Systemtests und Validierung
  • Anforderungsmanagement und Erstellung von Spezifikationen
  • Projektmanagement zwischen verschiedenen internen Teams und externen Zulieferern
  • Entwicklung von Schaltplänen und Systemtopologien
  • D-FMEA-Unterstützung für verschiedene Projekte
Unsere Anforderungen
  • Bachelor-, Master- oder Diplomabschluss in Elektrotechnik, Maschinenbau, Fahrzeugtechnik oder einer ähnlichen Fachrichtung
  • Mindestens 3-5 Jahre Berufserfahrung als Entwicklungsingenieur für Systeme, vorzugsweise in der Nutzfahrzeug- oder Automobilbranche
  • Breites technisches Fachwissen in der Systemtechnik oder Elektrotechnik
  • Grundkenntnisse in Photovoltaiksystemen sind von Vorteil
  • Du hast eine Hands-On-Mentalität und bist offen für das Arbeiten an Prüfständen oder in Fahrzeugen
  • Nachhaltig zu leben ist dir wichtig - privat und beruflich
  • Fließende Englischkenntnisse erforderlich - Deutschkenntnisse von Vorteil
