Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Controller (f/m/d)
You are responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast. You drive the project cash flow. You manage currency risk, tax issues, controls financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting), and ensure compliance with project financing requirements.

Your responsibilities

  • You prepare a Project Financial Execution Plan (as part of an overall Project Execution Plan covering all financial, commercial and tax aspects such as permanent establishment, revenue recognition methods, billing plan, payment securities, consortium administration, import duties and VAT, etc.)
  • You establish project governance process and participate in opportunity/risk identification, ensure that all required mitigation actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • You drive, co-ordinate and prepare monthly project reviews jointly with the Project Manager and review and take joint responsibility with the Project Manager for project cost reports including estimates to complete and project schedule
  • You promotes commercial awareness in the project team and checks the commercial conditions in the project execution plan (such as T&Cs in supply management, claims, back-to-back conditions).  You drive claim, back-charges and insurance cases and monitor the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager/Project Manager upstream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as downstream (towards suppliers)
  • You follow up on internal project audit reports, and ensures timely implementation of all required actions related to projects under responsibility

Your background

  • Successfully completed training and further education as an accountant (f/m/d), a business administration degree (master/diploma) or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in Project Financial Execution Plans and balance sheets
  • Proven experience in project Controlling
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English skills
  • Strong communications skills
  • High attention to detail
