This is an excellent opportunity to join one of our Dealer Teams at mobile.de which owns dealer facing features and focuses on enhancing several aspects of dealer operations, including inventory, sales, and service. This agile team is equipped with software engineers, UX specialists, product owners, project managers, data analysts and business developers so that it can holistically own and grow their user journey and develop a product that serves our users’ needs excellently.

We support hybrid work, and you need to attend planning meetings and team events in our amazing Berlin-based office.

We are looking for an accomplished Backend developer to join us as an enabler; someone who can resolve detailed engineering challenges with a user focus and loves to work with passionate and engaged people in one of the world’s leading automotive platforms. Does it resonate to you?

What you’ll do

  • Build a phenomenal product for our users in an Agile, iterative, test-and-learn driven and scalable way

  • Ensure the quality of your product because you understand that quality is the responsibility of the entire team

  • Participate in design decisions and code reviews

  • Contribute to initiatives related to application improvements and best practices

  • Manage the entire development and release cycle from specification to running in production together with your team

  • Be an active and engaged partner for product, UX, business and your peers.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends. Learn new tech and non-tech related skills to grow yourself and your team

  • Be a mentor for other team members and help to grow an experienced and engaged team

  • Report to Engineering Manager and Principal Engineer

    Who you are

  • 4+ years of experience with Java/Spring Boot-based backend technologies

You have implemented and consumed restful (micro-) services

You have experience with relational, non-relational and object databases like MySQL and MongoDB

You worked and knows how messaging systems (e.g. Kafka) function

You have knowledge about supporting build and deploy technologies (e.g. Maven, Gradle, Docker and Jenkins)

AWS Cloud infrastructure experience

Experience mentoring backend engineers

Agile development methodologies and continuous improvement of your team are your preferred way of working

Experience with Node.js would be advantageous
