Summary

About the Position: The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Chief, Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Department Social Work (DSW) or Behavioral Health (BH) and regularly reviews complex and high-risk cases with a supervisor for care communication purposes. The incumbent is expected to function independently as a licensed clinical social worker.



Duties
  • Manage the provision of a full range of prevention, community education, direct services, and liaison with other Family Advocacy Program agencies and services.
  • Carry out program management responsibility for a Family Advocacy Program ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and meeting customer needs.
  • Recommend and take action to effect removal and protection of family members from abusers.
  • Plan and execute community-wide prevention education campaigns for special emphasis initiatives.
  • Provide evaluation and develop work performance standards of subordinates.
  • Manage a child abuse/neglect and domestic violence prevention and education program.
  • Coordinate social work services and provide referrals to other programs and services to include a Military Treatment Facility, Child Protective Services, chaplains, state and local social services agencies, and other military and medical personnel.
