As a leading international non-profit organization in the fight against blood cancer, our goal is to give as many blood cancer patients as possible a second chance at life and to provide access to transplantation. In order to help even more patients, we need regular reinforcement from committed and highly qualified employees with personality. For our Global Reputation Management team based in Cologne we are looking for an
International PR & Communications Manager (m/f/d)

 

YOUR TASKS: 
• Interface function between national departments and Global Corporate Communications in the area of PR & Communications and close collaboration with the events team
• Selection, management, and coordination of external service providers for events
• Intensive on-site support for journalists during events (red carpets / press conferences)
• PR follow-up, evaluation and documentation of events
• Responding to media enquiries and development and enhancement of relationships with press and external partners
• Consulting and support of DKMS locations in the development and implementation of PR concepts & communication strategies
• Creation and implementation of PR concepts and communication strategies in the area of global corporate communications
• Ensuring consistent branding and communication internationally (key messaging)
• Conducting training for new and existing employees in the area of PR & communications
• Creating and editing editorial content, statements and speeches for international use, both internally and externally - primarily in the English language
• Steering and coordination of international projects

 

OUR REQUIREMENTS:
• Successfully completed studies (bachelor) with a focus on communication science or comparable qualification
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience in an international working environment
• Very good knowledge of PR instruments and disciplines including event formats, media relations, corporate publishing , editorial activities 
• Very good project management skills
• Advanced copywriting and content creation skills
• Very good manners, intercultural skills as well as strong empathy, networking and communication skills 
• Excellent English and German skills (native speaker level)
• Willingness to travel (10-20%) and high flexibility
