About COBY:

COBY is not just a StartUp; we are a mission-driven team dedicated to ensuring that no child or patient with a chronic disease feels alone. Our innovative AI companion, COBY, provides emotional support, practical tips, accessibility assistance, and community connection. As winners of the Strascheg Award, part of the SCE incubator, and recognized as one of the TOP100 startups at the 2024 South Summit, we are at the forefront of consumer and healthtech technology. We're looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) passionate about using cutting-edge technology and empathetic product design to make a tangible difference in the lives of those with life-altering chronic health conditions.

About You:

  • You are deeply motivated by COBY's mission to support individuals with chronic health challenges.
  • You have a strong technical background in software development, AI, and API integration, preferably with experience in gaming or related fields.
  • You have a proven track record of developing user-centric software products, especially in mobile environments (iOS and Android).
  • You are adept in interaction design, aiming to make COBY intuitive and engaging.
  • You possesses a growth mindset, you thrive in a collaborative environment, and values trust, honesty, dedication, transparency, and empathy.
  • Being an experienced hobbyist in physical product development (e.g., 3D printing, material design, IoT integration) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the software development of our product and oversee the integration of innovative technologies to enhance user experience.
  • Collaborate with the CEO, Creative Director, and partners to align technology with COBY’s vision and user needs.
  • Drive the technical strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and effective deployment of new features.
  • Engage with the tech community to stay ahead of trends, explore new tools, and foster partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, or a related field from a recent (last 5 years) academic institution.
  • Extensive experience in AI, software development, and API integration.
  • Background in gaming, digital art, or related fields with a focus on interaction design.
  • Fluent in flexible and agile innovation processes, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of outputs.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Munich. Hybrid work mode, with some in-person meetings and workshops.
  • Fluent in English. German or Spanish would be a plus.
