The EU Transportation Operations Management team is seeking Area Managers to work in our Amazon EU sites and manage operations in our yards. It’s that kind of spirit that drives our success now and in the future. The Yard Area Manager is responsible for managing yard operations in coordination with Dock, Receive and Ship teams to ensure FIFO processing and mitigate CX impact risks. An ideal candidate has a background in transportation operations and has excellent program management skills. analyse data and make sound recommendations in an often ambiguous environment. This job will require exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence change at a local (facility) and global level.
Support and lead a team and handle administrative work alongside building and supporting a strong team culture
- Your main focus will be to maintain safety standards within your team and across your site. Your days will always include prioritising routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside other tasks like individual escalations, process improvement work and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
Being a key part of the operations team involves working with colleagues in other teams and external partners to make sure we stay on track to meet our customer demands and targets. This will involve analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing the operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.

Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you’ll help Amazon’s transport run at maximum efficiency. Our team captures data and uses it to drive decisions. Bachelor’s degree (or working towards a bachelor’s degree)
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language
- Relevant experience in performing data analysis
