Der Bereich Innovation Technology ist verantwortlich für die systematische Planung, Kontrolle und Durchführung des Innovations- und Technologie Managements der BWI und deren Leistungsportfolio. Hierbei ist Extended Reality (XR) von großer Bedeutung für unsere Kunden. Das Technologiezentrum Extended Reality (TC-XR) hält aktuelle Entwicklungen im Bereich Extended Reality (XR) in stetem Blick und steuert die strategische Ausrichtung der BWI in diesem wichtigen Technologiefeld. Wir erkennen frühzeitig wichtige technologische Entwicklungen, welche einen substantiellen Mehrwert für unsere Kunden bieten werden, und ebnen deren Weg in die Anwendung. In diesem Rahmen bewerten wir aktuelle Technologien aller maßgeblichen Teilbereiche (Displaysysteme, Computergrafik, Haptik, Akustik, SW-Rahmenwerke, uvm.). Wir prüfen deren Reife und Anwendbarkeit anhand von Studien und Demonstratoren. Wir stehen im Kontakt mit dem who-is-who der Branche und erhalten Zugriff auf neueste Produkte. Wir kommunizieren diese Technologien mit dem Kunden, identifizieren gemeinsam Potenziale und stellen diese in Prototypen und Demonstratoren unter Beweis. Ihre Aufgaben: Aufspüren neuer Technologien und Trends in Forschung und am Markt (z.B. Entwicklungen neuster VR-Headsets, Displaytechnologien und XR-Engines, aufkommende Technologien in der Computergrafik und der künstlichen Intelligenz) Bewertung neuer Technologien in Studien und praktischen Experimenten (z.B. immersive Computergrafik, XR-Frameworks, Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion, User Interface Design, u.v.m.) Erstellung von Demonstratoren und Prototypen auch zusammen mit Kunden (z.B.
