We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Engineering Operations Technician is a hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting and operation responder. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster strong safety culture.• ENGINEERING & FACILITY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCEOperational experience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical equipment, including Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS’s), Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs), Diesel Generators, Chillers, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Exhaust Fans, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and Transformers. o Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)o Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/log-taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.)o Supervise contractor or Engineering Operations Technicians to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.o Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operations Technicians and assist inrecruiting efforts.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN· Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field · Demonstrate key electrical competencies (Practice & Theory) Knowledge of mechanical systems (Mechanical, HVAC systems, Controls) Good EnglishBEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities · An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE); · Project Management experience.
