Audio Engineer

Since 1948, we have been one of the world's largest independent manufacturers of electronic and electromechanical components for the automotive sector as well as for consumer electronics, household appliances and industrial equipment. Our customers are automotive manufacturers, TIER1 suppliers and other global players. To strengthen our team at the location in Leinfelden-Echterdingen (near Stuttgart) we are looking for an Audio Engineer(m/f/d) with immediate effect.

As an Audio Engineer you are responsible for the design, development, application and testing of any audio product as part of the next generation of automotive and other audio systems.
The role of an Audio Engineer requires a close cooperation with experts from different areas such as audio system architecture, hardware architecture, software architecture, DSP and other domain experts.
Support the local sound strategy and develop future oriented, state of the art solutions for audio and processing of audio within the automotive E/E and other architectures.
Ensure robustness, performance, and safety aspects within the audio domain.
Install and tune automotive and other audio and sound systems and evaluate the audio quality.
Drive technical requirements and clarification with stakeholders within Alps Alpine, Automotive OEM and hard and software suppliers.
Support technical presentations and workshops with customers during the quotation phase and development.
Support selection and management of sound branding partners.

University degree in Audio, Acoustics or Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar with extensive experience in audio technology
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing sound products, preferred but not mandatory for automotive (sound processing, amplifiers, speakers)
Excellent audio listening, judgement and comparison skills
Deep connection into the audio industry, for technology and partnerships
Experience in Audio tuning tools like Audio Weaver, LabView and in Redmine, svn
Good command of English & German, written and spoken
