Der Bereich Innovation & Technology (I&T) der BWI beschäftigt sich mit der strategischen Erneuerung des Leistungsportfolios, u.a. unterstützt durch unser Technology Center AI & Cloud (TC). Das TC ist technologiegetrieben und verfolgt einen "Technology First"-Ansatz.
Unser übergeordnetes Ziel ist es, zukunftsweisende Technologien und Innovationen zu identifizieren, zu evaluieren und deren Einsatzmöglichkeiten für die Bundeswehr zu untersuchen, auch wenn der Nutzen heute vielleicht noch nicht erkannt wird oder die technische Umsetzung nicht realisierbar erscheint.


Ihre Aufgaben:
  • Fachliche Anwendung der Expertise im Bereich Computer Vision (CV) in AI-enabled autonomous embedded systems
  • Analyse und Bewertung von Fachpublikationen (White Papers)
  • Analyse und Bewertung neuer Technologien (z.B. Vision Transformers, NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splattings / 3DGS, GANs)
  • Durchführung von CV-Experimenten und Rapid Prototyping
  • Evaluierung von KI-Modellen und -Systemen durch Customizing und Training/Finetuning
  • Entwicklung prototypischer KI-Anwendungen und Integration experimenteller KI-Dienste
Ihr Profil:
  • Erfolgreich abgeschlossenes Masterstudium in Informatik, Data Science oder Mathematik in Kombination mit mindestens 6 Jahre Berufserfahrung nach dem Studium, davon mindestens 3 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung im Computer Vision Umfeld
  • Expertise in gängigen DeepLearning Architekturen wie CNN, LSTM, Transformer sowie fundierte Kenntnisse in Pytorch, Tensorflow oder vergleichbaren Frameworks
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse in NeRF oder 3D Gaussian Splattings (3DGS)
  • Gute Programmierkenntnisse in Python und modernen Webstacks sowie Erfahrung im Umgang mit gängigen 3D-Engines von Vorteil
  • Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Cloud-Plattformen und serverless Architekturen von Vorteil
  • Fähigkeit wissenschaftliche Forschung im Bereich Data Science zu verstehen und anzuwenden
  • Fähigkeit zur effektiven Teamarbeit und interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit verbunden mit einem hohen Maß an Selbstständigkeit, Ergebnisorientierung, Entscheidungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit
  • Hohe Frustrationstoleranz bei der Arbeit mit Technologien im Alpha- und Beta-Stadium sowie gute Präsentationsfähigkeiten, um technische Konzepte und Ergebnisse überzeugend zu präsentieren
  • Verhandlungssichere Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift zwingend erforderlich
