Gilead’s therapeutic areas of focus include HIV/AIDS, liver diseases, cancer, inflammation, and serious respiratory conditions. The PositionFor our German business analytics team we are currently hiring a (Senior) Manager Business Analytics. The position is office based in Martinsried, Munich and will report to the Associate Director Business Analytics & Insights. The Business Analytics team is part of the Commercial Operations function.Essential Functions:Designs and runs primary and secondary market research projects with decisive and actionable resultsAligns cross functionally to address key business questions in primary and secondary researchSynthesizes insights across different datasets for a holistic view of the business thus being able to provide actionable recommendations to the commercial stakeholdersActs as a strategic advisor to the commercial stakeholders by staying abreast of all relevant developments and connecting those with market research other data setsCreates regular strategic forecast on overall TA market and products and supports definition of consistent and compelling storySupports definition of relevant KPIs and dashboard reports, establishes robust data sources and oversees analytics for senior management.Presents recommendations and findings to various stakeholders within the Commercial organization.Interacts with internal stakeholders ranging from executives to Commercial management to field sales team.Applies strategic thinking and communicates highly complex analytical processes in a clear and concise manner.Facilitates ongoing exchange with SFE reflecting commercial strategy and market insights affecting incentive plan, resource optimization or segmentation/targetingKnowledge, Experience & Skills:EssentialDegree in business administration, economics, natural sciences or related fieldsExperience in the pharmaceutical industryPrior experience in sales/marketing analysis, statistical analysis, and forecastingIn-depth knowledge of relevant software systems (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to assume full responsibility for accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of deliverables completed through own effortsMust be able to effectively communicate analytical information to non-technical members of senior managementFluent in Englisch and GermanDesirableIn-depth knowledge of global Sales and Marketing organizations and pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Insight Health etc.) is desiredEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO)It is the policy of Gilead Sciences, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively "Gilead" or the "Company") to recruit select and employ the most qualified persons available for positions throughout the Company.
