Research Assistant (m/f/d) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professorship for International Labor Relations At Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU / UniBw H), Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Professorship for International Labor Relations (Univ.-Prof. Dr. Krzywdzinski), a position is available from the next possible date for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) (salary group 13 TVöD [Collective agreement for the public service]; 39 hours per week) for a limited period until 31.12.2026. The research in this area deals with processes of globalization and technological change in the world of work and is carried out in close cooperation with other research teams at the HSU / UniBw H, the University of Duisburg-Essen and the research group “Globalization, Work and Production” at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. The focus is on a sociological analysis of the development of the field of work of data scientists and other central groups of scientists in digital capitalism. Of particular interest here is the use of AI applications and the associated changes in work processes, activities and qualification requirements. The employment is based on the TVöD in conjunction with the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz [German Act on Fixed-Term Scientific Contracts]. In principle, the activities correspond to pay group 13 (E13). Classification up to pay group 13 of the TVöD shall be made in accordance with § 12 of the TVöD with regard to the activities to be performed on a more than temporary basis and the fulfilment of the personal or collective agreement requirements (job characteristics).
