trivago, a German travel tech company, is building an accommodation search platform to help millions of travelers find their ideal stay for a great value. We save our users time and empower them to get more out of travel by comparing accommodation from leading booking sites. Travelers come to trivago because they know they can rely on our metasearch platform to provide the best deals and deliver search results they love. The Role

As a Senior Product Manager of the trivago App, you'll have the opportunity to work on one of the world’s leading platforms in travel and help millions of users find the ideal accommodation for their next holiday. You will work with an experienced team of engineers, designers, and QA specialists to drive outcomes through continuous discovery, rapid prototyping, and a/b experimentation. By finding new ways to engage our users, you’ll bring about the success of trivago’s native Android and iOS apps. Our ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset with deep analytical and communication skills.

How you’ll make an impact: 
  • Lead the product for price discovery on apps with skilled data engineers, data scientists, and software engineers
  • Shape the team’s strategy by understanding our users’ needs, technology, and identifying business opportunities
  • Define OKRs, business KPIs, and drive progress towards our goals
  • Collaborate with tech and data teams by reviewing performance of features and a/b tests to drive future optimization
  • Manage and prioritize the team’s feature backlog to ensure focus on key objectives
  • Create trustful relationships with stakeholders, be their point of contact for requests, and manage expectations
What we’re looking for: 
  • 5+ years' experience in a product role for a consumer app/website
  • A passion for creating user-centric products
  • Strategic thinking. You place the right bets based on your understanding of our business and users
  • A proactive attitude. You find and evaluate problems to solve, rather than document stakeholder requirements
  • Excellent communication skills with high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy
What makes you stand out:
  • Understanding of the consumer app ecosystem e.g. App user behaviors/traits, App analytics would be a huge plus
  • Solid analytical capability and experience in A/B testing
