As they take on a new phase of growth and transformation, they seek a visionary Director of Data Science to spearhead their data initiatives and drive strategic decision-making through advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Build and manage a talented team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee all aspects of the data life cycle, including data acquisition, processing, analysis, and interpretation, ensuring data integrity, quality, and governance.
  • Drive the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and uncover actionable insights.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive value creation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer experience.
  • Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to develop scalable data infrastructure and ensure seamless integration of data solutions into existing systems and processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and analytics, and recommend innovative approaches to drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to align data initiatives with business goals and drive measurable impact on key performance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MS or PhD) preferred.
  • Proven track record of leadership in data science, with at least 5 years of experience in a senior management role, preferably in automotive.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing data strategies, analytics solutions, and machine learning models in a business environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, etc.), as well as experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and predictive modeling techniques, with a focus on practical application and business impact.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must speak fluent German to communicate with the business stakeholders
